Theres me Ann McKiernan and my husband Dieter Bomers (also called Mr McKiernan), I'm from Galway on the west coast of Ireland and Dieter is from Gescher. We offer a range of Irish and German cakes all homemade by me, Scones with homemade jam, irish brown soda bread, Soups, Toasties, wraps, Coffee by Hesselink in Winterswijk. We offer daily breakfast and lunch and occasionally the real Irish Breakfast. You can also find at McKiernan's a growing range of Irish whiskey and gins, watch out for Whiskey Tasting evenings on our website. We look forward to welcome you to our little Irish cafe where the coffee is hot, the beer is cold and the atmosphere inviting.
Well, the tea, I prefer Darjeeling First Flush loose. Krombacher chilled very well. Cake quite decent. The bread, my grandma baked better. Operation? They don't care about the crisis.
Very friendly! Nice location! We are often there and always like to come back. The carrot cake is particularly recommended!
I don `t know where to start... When I came in I didn't even get a hello, but was turned on directly from the side. The owner is very rude. In addition, the data has to be written down, which is basically no problem, only it is very unprofessional and violates the data protection law to leave a notepad with the data of all visitors lying around openly. It's actually a shame because the café always made a nice impression.
The best apple pie ever nice service, always happy
Very nice and cozy. Very friendly. Will come more often.
Super delicious homemade Irish bread. I can only recommend.
Very nice and friendly. Extensive range of "Irish whiskey"
Absolutely super and cozy with authentic Irish flair and delicious food
Very good breakfast, great and cozy atmosphere. The owners are very friendly. We would love to come back. Dennis & Corinna with Fiete (the 7 week old baby) ☺
Great, exceptional breakfast. DELICIOUS!!! Very nice owner couple *****
Cozy place near the museum. Coffee with Baileys ☺ highly recommended
Nice cozy cafe. Coffee and cake tasted very good.
Unfortunately, good service looks different! The service was very inattentive. Happy to eat more but it was not possible to place an order. Too bad the food was otherwise quite good.
A very cozy little Irish cafe. The decor is quaint and it reminds me of Ireland. We'll be back as soon as possible. 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪
Made a very nice impression on my visit. And coffee and cake were very good
Very cozy, very nice boss, according to the only Irish cafe in Germany!
An adorable cuddly café with tasty dishes, home-made super delicious cakes of soft fine Irish music and a great atmosphere. We recommend.
A little piece of Ireland in the Münsterland. Cozy furnished with different tables and chairs, which makes the special atmosphere. We had a very good breakfast with typical Irish side dishes. The host is a friendly person who likes to stay for a short chat at the table without being obtrusive. Noteworthy is also the exquisite selection of Wiskeys and Gins. Again, one notices in the conversation with the host his high expertise and his love for Ireland.
Totaly different style compared to avarage ...same style...boring...places in this area. Warm ambient, simple and nice menù, we have been in the afternoon, we got very good capuccino (i'm italian..and i can say..not easy to get here) very good cakes, friendly service. I've noticed that there is very good selection of whisky. For sure we will come back to try and enjoy thei products, i'm only sad that is opening at 9 and i cannot enjoy the breakfast :-)

Super nice, cozy restaurant ... Very friendly owner .. The Irish tea is delicious, like everything else ... Highly recommended ... I personally love the carrot cake and the cookies .. 😊 😊
The Irish can do more than just whiskey and beer. You can tell in this nice cafe, which is lovingly furnished and very nice run. There are countless authentic and lovingly prepared Irish specialties such as homemade scones. Delicious! I do not know if you can turn over to beer and whiskey in the evening.
Lovely people and wonderful food! Highly recommended.
Small, but very fine meeting place for friends of Irish sociability. We really liked to check our English skills there, we did not dare to speak the Irish language yet. But maybe next time, because that will definitely happen again. All thumbs up ...
Very well
